THE EFORT ANNUAL CONGRESS
The EFORT Congress is running on an annual base and offers you a broad spectrum of carefully-selected opportunities to further your knowledge of our complex and varied field. It also includes Free papers, posters walks, courses and numerous workshops, industry symposia and technical exhibits.
The Plenary Sessions (between 1.5 – 2 hours) are usually taking place during the morning on Wednesday – Friday. The congress language is English.
Controversial Case Discussions (CCD – 90 minutes) and pro and con debates invite you actively to contribute and share your knowledge with colleagues from all around Europe. Participants of the ExMEx sessions (between 2-4 hours) can gain specialized expertise and share information with different opinion leaders on a specific topic in a group limited to 100 colleagues (a separate registration is necessary).
For the scientific programme we have successively increased collaboration with our specialty society partners. These sessions are embedded into the overall programme called: Guest Sessions. Along with the scientific exhibition, our congresses cover the whole range of contemporary orthopedics and traumatology issues in Europe. At each event we share scientific findings, experience and participants gain a greater awareness of future trends.

98th SOFCOT Congress
For our 2024 congress, we will maintain the specialty tracks, although there was a strong temptation to group teaching conferences in one morning. However, we will take particular care to avoid overlaps (no teaching conference at the same time as a round table or a special communication session on the same subject), and we will ensure their best placement. Likewise, we will try to avoid simultaneous presentations on the same subject as much as possible, but holding the congress over three days makes this mission delicate.
